On the eve of International Children Protection Day the Perm branch made a charitable contribution to state-owned Regional Specialized Orphanage No. 5, where children up to four years of age with organic lesions of the central nervous system and mental disturbances live and receive treatment. Thanks to the financial assistance from the Perm branch the orphanage will be able to acquire expensive equipment for the children's sensor room. The major advantage of this rehabilitation equipment is the stimulation effect, which helps the disabled communicate with the outside world. Stimulation helps children develop, learn, and enjoy themselves. Children with weak eyes, bad hearing, malfunctions of the upper limbs and even those with low-level hand movement can take an active part in the process of experiencing new sensations by means of convenient special switches developed for them to react to even the slightest movement.
«Providing assistance to children has become a tradition at our branch since last year, when we helped the in-patient clinic at Municipal Children's Clinical Hospital No. 15, where children age 1 to 15 with diabetes, asthma and other serious disorders are treated. We bought developing toys and books for the younger children and a mobile tennis table for the older children,» said Roman Nebabin, director of the Perm branch.
In 2007, the senior management of the branch resolved to proved assistance to children's healthcare entities in Perm on an annual basis.
«Helping children is the duty of every person and all dynamically developing, successful companies. Charity and sponsorship are an integral part of Raiffeisenbank’s activities, and we are always happy to provide appropriate support to children’s healthcare in the Perm Region,» Nebabin emphasized.
