The grand opening of ZAO Raiffeisenbank's new Bashkortostan branch took place on July 2 in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan; the new office's address is 20 Karl Marx Street.
Among those present at the opening ceremony were leading government officials from the Republic of Bashkortostan; Martin Vukovich, the ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Russia; Johann Jonach, the CEO of ZAO Raiffeisenbank; and Vitaly Milovanov, the director of Raiffeisenbank's Urals Regional Center. The ceremony was followed by a press conference at the new branch, with the participants including top managers of ZAO Raiffeisenbank and representatives of the national and regional (Ufa) media.
In response to journalists' questions, Johann Jonach remarked: «We have long intended to open a branch in Ufa. Raiffeisenbank has worked extensively with companies in the region and in early 2007 opened a representative office in the republic. We have witnessed the steady development of the region's economy, and the opening of our full-service branch in Ufa marks the beginning of a new era of our work in Bashkortostan, which I am certain will allow us to become even more accessible to all clients, current and new.»
Vitaly Milovanov emphasized: «We see the opening of this branch as very timely, given the growth of investment and business' need for finance. We also offer services for retail clients including automobile, mortgage and consumer loans. The range of financial services offered to clients here is the same as Raiffeisenbank offers throughout its network in Russia, including quality on the traditionally high European level.»
The Bashkortostan office offers a full range of services for legal entities and individuals, including an extensive set of credit products, time and demand deposits, all types of bank cards, safe deposit boxes, travelers' checks and investment products.
The new branch also offers services provided by Raiffeisenbank's subsidiaries OOO Raiffeisen Leasing, Non-State Pension Fund Raiffeisen, and OOO Raiffeisen Capital Management Company.
Anvar Ismagilov has been appointed to lead ZAO Raiffeisenbank's new Bashkortostan branch, part of the bank's Urals Regional Center, which currently includes ten branches and eight additional offices in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Zlatoust, Izhevsk, Perm, Tyumen, Surgut and Ufa.
