Raiffeisenbank has announced the appointment of Dmitry Shakhmetov as Director of the «Yuzhny» Regional Centre and Director of Raiffeisenbank’s Branch «Yuzhny». This appointment takes effect upon its approval by the Bank of Russia.
Raiffeisenbank CEO Pavel Gurin said: «At present, the Regional Centre’s management faces rather serious challenges, and the Bank’s further development in the region will depend on how these challenges are handled. We have known Dmitry Shakhmetov as a solid professional and a responsible manager. I am sure his experience and deep knowledge of the situation in the region will be critical for future successful operations of the «Yuzhny» Regional Centre.»
Dmitry Yurievich Shakhmetov was born on June 27, 1968, in Krasnodar. In 1990, he graduated from the Krasnodar Military Commanders’ and Engineers’ Academy of Missile Troops, majoring in Engineering and Systemic Equipment; he served in the Belarus SSR. In 1994, he graduated from the Kuban State University School of Economics majoring in Economic and Social Planning. In 1993/1998, he was employed by the Russian Central Bank’s Main Department for the Krasnodar Region, being in charge of commercial banks inspection. Thereafter, Mr Shakhmetov continued his career as Head of Credit Division at Avtobank’s Krasnodar Branch, Deputy Manager of Alfa Bank’s Krasnodar Branch. In 2006, Dmitry Shakhmetov joined Raiffeisenbank’s team.
He is a Professor, Ph.D. in Economics.
